Dear Journal,Yesterday, Ms Lee taught us about world war 2 when the Japanese invaded Singapore. The war started in Europe in1939. The war began when Germany invaded Poland. Britain and France joined Poland in the war against Germany.The war quickly spread to many countries in Europe and North Africa. Japanese wanted to conquer countries in Southeast Asia to get food and raw materials. So,they decided to invade Malaya and Singapore. One of the war heros is Lieutenant Adan Saidi. He led a platoon of the Malay Regiment to protect the area at Pasir Panjang Ridge. Adnan was tied to a cherry tree and bayoneted to death after losing a firece battle with the Japanese. The Japanese Occupation ended when the USA joined the war on the side of the allied Forces and dropped bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. both cities were destroyed. The Japanese were forced to surrender.Finally the war was over.

Hi Yuan Chang,
you've written a pretty interesting summary of what I told all of you on WWII. There's more to it if you read up more about it. You'll probably discover more about what war is all about between big countries.
Can I ask that you look at the posting titled Journal 3 part 2 on the class blog and answer the questions I raised about the war strategies between Jap and British soldiers. I would like to see what opinions you have to that.
Good to see that you have made regular postings. :P
